For the thousands of people in the UK who are living with a learning disability, their daily lives are affected in a variety of ways. Many of them rely on their family for support. But with a fully trained and dedicated live-in carer, Roses Healthcare makes it possible for you or your loved one to live as independently as possible.  Around 1% of the British population live with an autistic spectrum condition and many of those people will have a learning disability. Around 1 in 1,000 people in the UK live with down syndrome, some of whom will also have learning difficulties.

Autism

Trained and experienced Roses Healthcare Carers can assist people with autism, in communicating better and understanding communication from others. We invest time to understand where their frustrations may stem from and reduces situations which triggers the frustrations

Down syndrome

Roses Healthcare has trained and experienced carers who can offer support for the development of someone who has Down syndrome. We assist with language and clear speech working together with trained speech therapists to ensure developmental support is received in order to improve speech.

Fostering independence

Roses Healthcare also offers services that foster social development; this may include taking people we look after on social outings in order to meeting new people. We are not just concerned not only with physical development but for their emotional development too. So we offer emotional support to improve emotional wellbeing. Our aim is foster living independently as part of the local community, close to existing networks and family if possible. Our live-in support means that the person can exercise choice and control over their life in ways that would not usually be possible, if living in structured environments such as residential care or group living.
